Masjid Sultan Singapore

Masjid Sultan, Singapore πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬.

This is my most favourite mosque every time I came here.

Masjid Sultan is one of biggest mosque πŸ•Œ with special care given by the goverment. This is the only mosque that allow sound of adzan (prayer calling) to be use openly on loud speaker while others mosque or musolla is only permitted inside the building.

A mosque that can fit up to 5000 people at one time was built in 1824 for Sultan Hussein Shah, the first sultan of Singapore. Sir Stamford Raffles, the founder of Singapore, gave S$3,000 to the construction of a single-storey building with a double-tiered roof.

This well organised mosque received certification of MS ISO and well maintained by the committee. It is located at Kampung Glam and famous Restoren Zam Zam just located across the road.

Semoga tahun depan dapat pula bersolat di Mekah dan Madinah.
